Even though "Justice League" is not slated to arrive until late 2017, Warner Bros. Pictures has already released its press kit which revealed that two additional characters from the DC Extended Universe will also be part of the upcoming superhero ensemble movie. Meanwhile, in terms of film's plot, it has been revealed that tension between Batman (Ben Affleck) and Superman (Henry Cavill) has not died down since "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."

Based on the Warner Bros. 2017 movie preview kit, Jesse Eisenberg will be returning to reprise his role as Lex Luther. However, this isn't that surprising given that his participation in the film has been rumored for quite some time now. According to SlashFilm, he will be the reason for the arrival of supervillains Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) and Darkseid.

On the other hand, Connie Nielsen's inclusion is quite a welcome surprise. The actress plays Queen Hippolyta, Diana Prince's (Gal Gadot) mother. However, since "Wonder Woman" has yet to be released, there's no clue yet on what capacity Nielsen will appear in. Is she still alive or will she just appear through flashbacks?

Based on the official synopsis of "Justice League," Bruce Wayne will work together with Diana to recruit a group of superheroes in order to defeat a formidable threat. In the trailer released at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year, Bruce is seen recruiting the likes of Arthur Curry/Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Barry Allen/the Flash (Ezra Miller) and Victor Stone/Cyborg (Ray Fisher). However, it appears that Batman will not sit in the leadership position comfortably as he will be facing opposition from Superman.

"There's pretty much an argument between him and Batman as to who is the leader," Cavill revealed in the latest issue of Total Film magazine (via MovieWeb).

Despite this revelation, "Justice League" isn't expected to be as dark as "Batman v Superman." Producer Charles Roven recently told The Hollywood Reporter that "the whole tone of the movie is lighter."

"Justice League" is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Nov. 17, 2017.
