Joe Manganiello has just confirmed that he has been cast as Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke for the DC Cinematic Universe. Even though some fans are expecting his appearance in Ben Affleck's solo "Batman" movie, it's quite possible that he may be appearing much earlier in Zack Snyder's upcoming "Justice League" film.

Snyder posted a picture of himself working on a storyboard on his Twitter account. Some fans have taken a closer look at the image, and it looks like Snyder is working on a scene that will involve a character with an eye-patch — most likely Deathstroke.

The image also shows the director wearing Batman's gloves, so he could be hinting that the two characters will be gearing up for one big clash.

Even though a lot of fans are guessing that this means Deathstroke will be in the "Justice League" movie, some are more positive that the post means Snyder is helping out for Affleck's solo "Batman" film. He has signed on as executive producer for that movie, and he's been known to be a marvelous visual director.

Even though a lot of fans and critics considered the "Batman v Superman" movie a divisive mess, Ben Affleck's portrayal of the Dark Knight received unanimous praise. A lot of fans have been looking forward to the new Caped Crusader, and the introduction of one of his most deadly foes is very welcome to the fans; not to mention Deathstroke has never appeared in a live-action movie before.

The year 2016 is looking to put Deathstroke in the spotlight. Stephen Amell has even teased that the fifth season of "Arrow" will have Deathstroke returning for the 100th episode. Slade Wilson is one of the few Batman villains that could match skills with Batman, so it would be very interesting to see the two exchange blows for the first time in cinema.

Zack Snyder's "Justice League" will hit theaters on Nov. 17, 2017.
