A 17-second teaser revealed a dapper Keanu Reeves portraying the hitman "John Wick" in the second film installment of the franchise. The first trailer for "John Wick: Chapter 2" will be revealed on Oct. 8 during the film's panel at the New York Comic Con.

The brief promo showed Wick suiting up for a party. In the room where he is getting fitted for the event, viewers can see an armory, stocked with all kinds of weapons. The titular character might have some business to do here since he is also seen selecting weapons to bring with him.

In the previous film, the dog that his late wife gave him was murdered by thugs. That particular instance urged the hitman to break out of retirement, to find the ones responsible and to carry out his revenge.

"We wanted to create a little bit of glitz," film director Chad Stahelski told Entertainment Weekly. "We thought about expanding it over to where the Wick world comes from, which would be a lot deeper into the past, which has more of a European vibe. We thought about all the cities we could go to, and because we have a certain kind of style with the suits, and the etiquette, we just thought Italian style and sensibility was best suited for our film. So, we went and shot in Rome," he added.

Chad Stahelski directed the sequel and was one of the two directors of the first film. Joining Reeves in Chapter 2 are Ian McShane, John Leguizamo, Ruby Rose, Common and Peter Serafinowicz. McShane will be reprising his role as the owner of the boutique hotel that admits hitmen. Common will also be reprising his role as an antagonist.

The sequel will hit theatres on Feb. 10, 2017. Stay tuned for more updates on "John Wick: Chapter 2."
