Joe Giudice and Teresa Giudice Prison Latest News: New Housewives of New Jersey Stars Divorce Rumors
Divorce rumors have been swirling around Teresa and Joe Giudice, stars of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey," as they prepare to serve their prison terms for fraud.
Their house was allegedly raided by the FBI recently. With the rumors around the couple increasing as the holidays near, it seems they are destined to have a big slice of drama in the New Year.
During the alleged FBI raid, the Christmas presents for the couple's four children, expensive jewelry and plasma televisions were reportedly confiscated. However, this was debunked by the FBI, saying that no such raid took place.
Teresa, however, is going to start serving her 15-month prison sentence on Jan. 5. Earlier this month it was rumored that the husband and wife were both seeking a divorce. A source who claimed to be close to Joe said he had grown tired of her demands for luxurious items such as a big house, expensive clothes and vacations. The source elaborated that it was these demands that forced Joe to commit fraud.
Other sources claimed that Teresa was the one who would file for divorce after she found out that Joe was cheating. Since the couple is almost bankrupt at this point, if the divorce does go ahead, they would have very little assets to divide. In addition to this, Joe will have to serve his 41-month prison sentence after Teresa finishes her sentence and then they will have to pay restitution to the government.
While the husband and wife have not commented on the divorce rumors, Today subsequently reported that those rumors were false. In its report, Today quoted a source who said that "Teresa and Joe are okay. They have a loving marriage and he's been a part of her family circle since she was a young child."
