Jim Bob Duggar of the TLC reality show "19 Kids and Counting" has responded to a petition calling for the television network to cancel his family's reality show.

Duggar said in a recent interview with Pathway magazine that the petition, created on Change.org, has actually helped his family's show and helped spread the message of God to viewers. The petition called on TLC to cancel the reality show, arguing that the evangelical family's conservative values were unwelcomed by viewers.

"We love everybody, but we don't always agree with them," Duggar told Pathway, an evangelical magazine, in a recent interview.

"They won't succeed. Our show is the number one show on TLC. We love everybody. It's a small group creating this fuss. All it has done is give us more exposure. We've gained 50,000 Facebook fans last week. God is expanding our borders through the national media."

The petition pointed to two specific incidences in which the Duggars allegedly practiced "fear-mongering" against the nation's homosexual community. The first referenced Michelle Duggar's opposition to a measure in Arkansas that would allow transgender people to use the bathroom of the gender they identified with, rather than the gender they were born with.

The second accusation regarded the Duggar family's official Facebook page. The family was accused of deleting a photo of a same-sex couple kissing from their Facebook page; the photo aggressively promoted the legalization of same-sex marriage nationwide.
