Jill Duggar's Trip to Texas While Pregnant Sparks Online Debate

Jill Duggar of "19 Kids and Counting" fame reportedly sparked an online debate after she posted photos of a mini-vacation she and husband Derick Dillard recently took to Texas.
Jill received online attention for the short vacation because she is reportedly nine months pregnant, and women are often discouraged from traveling in their final trimester of pregnancy.
"We had a great time with family on vacation," husband Derick Dillard wrote in a photo of the two in Texas on March 18, adding "But it doesn't look like we're going to have a Texas baby."
Reactions to the Duggar couple's mini vacation were mixed, with some questioning Jill's judgment on traveling 800 miles away from home so close to her due date of March 24.
Jill confirmed to People magazine that she and her husband contacted midwives in Texas before their trip to ensure the baby could be safely delivered there, if need be.
"We contacted midwives in Texas while we were there just to be safe," Jill told People. "There is a lot of support there, and we felt secure being there."
The Duggar family has openly shared its excitement for the new addition, with the family sharing their enthusiasm online.
"We are getting so close!!!" the family wrote on the official Duggar Facebook page. "If you're pregnant, will you post your picture here just like Jill has been? We would love to see it and will pray for you and your sweet baby, too!"
