'Jessica Jones' season 2 air date, spoilers, news: Misty Knight may join second installment; Jessica's relationship with Trish to become prominent

All the girls in Hell's Kitchen are set to take center stage in the forthcoming second season of Netflix's "Jessica Jones."
Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg, through an interview with Esquire, has shared that Luke Cage and Kilgrave will be missing when the second season premieres, indicating that Jessica's friendship with her adopted sister Trish (Rachael Taylor) will be more highlighted in the series. Rosenberg has noted, "I feel like for me that's what is unique about the relationship, that they are such intimate friends, and I think they don't have to become lovers — that being said, one never knows."
Meanwhile, NYPD police officer-turned hero Misty Knight (Simone Missick) is also speculated to make an appearance on the upcoming season. This was predicated by the newly leaked photos from "Marvel's The Defenders" in which Jones' character was seen meeting Missick's Knight.
Furthermore, it was speculated that some of the characters from "The Defenders" are set to appear in the second season of "Jessica Jones." And since Misty Knight seems to be Jones' most probable companion in the upcoming "Defenders," it would be too easy to tell that Knight might pop up in Hell's Kitchen with Jones.
In addition, the sophomore season of "Jessica Jones" will be introducing one or more antagonists who will replace Kilgrave's nefarious yet deadly antics. As of this writing, no disclosures yet as to who will make Jones' life more complicated than usual.
In related news, the filming for the upcoming "Marvel's The Defenders" is currently in full swing. Charlie Cox's Daredevil, Mike Colter's Luke Cage, Finn Jones' Iron Fist and Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones are all set to appear in it in 2017. Three-time Academy Award nominee Sigourney Weaver is rumored to be the show's big villain.
