'Jessica Jones' season 2 air date, plot spoilers: Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg talks about creating the show
Details about "Jessica Jones" season 2 are scarce, but there have been various rumors surrounding the forthcoming season of the show.
Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg applied something to the show which she has learned from writing "Dexter."

"I learned from working on Dexter that you can advance the character, but you never want to cure the character," Rosenberg told Esquire. The showrunner pointed out that Jones' trauma is a big part of her character.
"With Dexter, the moment he felt guilt or accepted that he was 'bad,' the show's over. He's no longer a sociopath. The equivalent for us would be if Jessica somehow recovered from the damage that had been done to her. People don't just heal, you don't go through that just to say, 'Oh, he got arrested, he's in jail, I'm OK now," Rosenberg added.
Joining the pool of writers for the second season of "Jessica Jones" is "True Blood" producer Raelle Tucker.
The titular character, who is portrayed by Krysten Ritter, might be doing a crossover on "Luke Cage" which is expected to premiere on Friday, Sept. 30.
Sources say that viewers might not see the subsequent seasons for the Netflix's Marvel Superhero TV shows "Jessica Jones" and "Daredevil" until the network launches "Luke Care," "Iron Fist," and "The Defenders."
However, in Rosenberg's interview, she said that "The Defenders" will be premiering in between the first season of "Luke Cage" and the second season of "Jessica Jones." Both of the titular characters will be reunited in the series and will be joined by "Daredevil," who is portrayed by Charlie Cox, and "Iron Fist," who is played by Finn Jones.
There has been no official announcement about the release date for the second season of "Jessica Jones." However, rumors suggest that the show could be released in late 2017.
