When Jeremy Lin came to the New York Knicks after being a basketball journeyman for a year, he instantly became a crowd favorite. He stayed there for a short while and then traded to the Houston Rockets, which he played for almost two seasons. After a short stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, Lin has finally found his home with the Michael Jordan-owned team, the Charlotte Hornets, where he is currently having the best year of his young career so far. However, Lin will become a free agent this offseason, which will be interesting how he would decide for his career.

"Linsanity" is certainly hoping to get a bigger contract next NBA season as the Hornets are on its way to the playoffs because of Lin's court generalship. Although he has recently been placed as a backup point guard, the Harvard graduate always makes sure that he gets all the minutes worthwhile on the court.

With rumors and speculations emerged online whether he will choose to stay with the Hornets or go somewhere else, Lin decides not to comment about that.

"Anything that says 'Jeremy Lin' I just don't click [laughs]," Lin said. "I'm used to it now where when I go to post on social media I say what I want to say, I post what I want to post and then I just turn my phone off. I don't scroll through the comments, I don't let anybody get to me or whatever."

Certainly, the whole Charlotte organization is more focus on basketball right now than its players' contract – especially that they will be facing tough challenges as soon as the playoffs start.

Meanwhile, Lin and the Hornets lost to Lebron James' Cavaliers today 112-103. The loss has put the team in the sixth place of the tight Eastern Conference standing. If the playoffs were to start today, Lin and the Hornets will play the Hawks, which is currently sitting in the third spot.
