Point guard Jeremy Lin's continued absence has now reportedly been causing some dent on The Brooklyn Nets.

The Nets are currently placed at the 13th spot in the Eastern Conference rankings. And with Lin currently recuperating with no timeline of return given, the situation could worsen. As per a report by Brian Lewis from New York Post, the Nets are at 109.3 and 107.4 in terms of their offensive and defensive ratings with a plus -1.8 with Lin playing. Sans Lin, the numbers would be reduced to 103.6 and 109 for a minus -5.7.

In addition, Nets' head coach Kenny Atkinson has shared that the team is having difficulty with the shift in its lineup. But as a true-blue coach, Atkins has vowed that the team would eventually be able to make some necessary adjustments as the season progresses.

Atkinson has added, "We've done it before with different line-ups, so [we have to] focus in our execution, making sure that we're doing all the little things, in the right spots and making the right play."

Meanwhile, Jeremy Lin himself has shared that his prognosis for the injury is still uncertain and that the set two-week recovery may likewise be extended. In an interview with ESPN, Lin has noted, "It's not always easy to know what is a good timeline. They really haven't said anything other than to keep rehabbing, and in two weeks, we'll see how you feel and go from there and make a plan."

Lin, on the other hand, won't be playing the game against the Trail Blazers this Saturday for apparent reasons. And as he has no specific timeline for his return, apart from a speculated January comeback, Lin is set to miss several games.

Lin has figured to an incident earlier this month and has reportedly suffered a left hamstring injury during a game with Detroit Pistons on Nov. 3.
