'Jane the Virgin' season 2 spoilers: Jane marries the man of her dreams, wedding day drama to happen?

The season finale of "Jane the Virgin" is coming up on May 16, and the hit dramedy series will end in a huge wedding. Viewers can only hope that the upcoming finale will end on a more positive note compared to last year's, as Jane will finally be marrying the man of her dreams â€” Michael.

As noted in the official synopsis for the finale titled "Chapter Forty-Four," Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Michael (Brett Dier) will realize that the plans they carefully made for their dream wedding will wind up in chaos after they decided to move up their wedding day. To make the situation even more problematic, Jane seems dissatisfied with her graduate thesis, but revising it will surely take her focus from her wedding preparations.Rafael (Justin Baldoni)clearly has romantic feelings for Jane, making him torn if he will confess his love for her of forever hold his peace. Meanwhile, Petra (Yael Grobglas) has to resolve her own family drama when Anezka (Yael Grobglas) experiences a medical emergency and has to be confined in the hospital. Rogelio (Jaime Camil) and Xo's (Andrea Navedo) relationship seems to be progressing well when Xo suddenly gets surprising news which might affect both of them.

There are fan theories surfacing online stating that Michael's life will be put in danger during the finale. This might be a dark turn for the light and heartwarming series, but there are clues in the show that viewers were quick to notice. An example is the Narrator's line in "Chapter Ten," stating, "And for as long as Michael lived, until he drew his very last breath... he never did." The statement was way back when Jane was doing well with Rafael, but Michael told Xo that he will not stop loving Jane.

However the story ends for the second season, it is highly possible to conclude with a cliffhanger that leads viewers towards season 3.
