Jaden and Willow Smith Interview: Actor's 'Weird, Confused' Kids Speak Up on Life's Issues

In a recent interview in T Magazine, siblings Jaden and Willow Smith -- the children of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith -- discussed what they thought about time, Prana energy, and their upcoming albums.

Soon after the interview was published, a stream of posts on social media labeled it as "weird, confused" while others claimed that the siblings scared them.

Several elements contributed to the "weirdness" factor of the interview, but for many it was the fact that the brother and sister do not go to school because they thought it was "not authentic" as it will eventually end. They then stated that "our learning will never end. The school that we go to every single morning, we will continue to go to."

Jaden also noted that children who do go to school end up being "so teenagery, so angsty " and that nothing can be learned in school. Explaining why nothing is ever learned in school, Jaden described how people in spite of taking drivers education end up in car accidents, which means the training isn't helping them out.

CNN, in a point-by-point break down of their interview, noted that in addition to their aversion to formal schooling, the brother and sister have their eyes set firmly on what they want to do in future. Jaden for instance wants to be "the craziest person of all time and do Olympic-level crazy things." Willow aims to "climb as many mountains as we can possibly climb by the time we're 30 or 20."

In the interview the siblings explained how their creativity fuelled their endeavors, including Jaden's appearances in films and Willow's hit single "Whip My Hair." Willow then mentioned how she preferred writing her own novels because as she explained, "There are no novels that I like to read so I write my own novels, and then I read them again."

Lastly CNN noted that Jaden and Willow have a "fluid grasp of time" because Willow thinks that she can "make time go slow or fast, and that's how I know it doesn't exist."

Jaden thinks "time moves depending on where you are in the universe."
