'iZombie' season 3 news 2016: Rose McIver thrilled to do Kiwi accent on screen, Liv not rushing things between her and Major

The CW's hit TV series, "iZombie" wrapped up its sophomore season back in April, and the show's return will see Olivia "Liv" Moore (Rose McIver) as she downs more brains in the upcoming season 3.
McIver recently took part in a Q & A during Australia's Oz Comic Con where she discussed some important points about the new season. According to the actress, viewers can expect a "New Zealand victim" who will cross paths with Liv. For the uninitiated, McIver is from New Zealand, and she naturally has a Kiwi accent. The role requires her to speak in a US accent which McIver says she can do effortlessly, but doing her real accent on-screen would be something very interesting. "We've actually talked about it a lot," she explained. "There are a few people that Rob Thomas, our showrunner, really wants to get. It's kind of been subject to other people's availability, but it will happen and it will be a lot of fun."
The lead star also weighed in on Liv's romantic life, saying, "No one wants to get cast as Liv's love interest. They know where they're going." As fans know, Liv's boyfriends in the past two seasons Lowell (Bradley James) and Drake (Greg Finley) are already six feet under. Luckily, her current love interest Major (Robert Buckley) is still living, but Liv is definitely not rushing things between them as she is still recovering from her major loss."I love that they're friends first," she told TV Line. "They've been able to stand by each other through thick and thin. It's a really complicated thing — she's grieving two dead boyfriends. It's not that easy to jump straight back in with Major. I think they're really great for each other, and ... they love each other."
The third season of "iZombie" is expected to premiere sometime in the Fall.
