'iZombie' season 3 air date, spoilers, plot news: Liv and Major to get back together? 'Veronica Mars' alum joins season 3 cast
"iZombie" season 3 still doesn't have a definite playdate, but it will definitely come back on air sometime in 2017, only on The CW. As it is, production is underway, as both cast and crew gear up for another exciting season.
It will be recalled that in the season 2 finale, Vivian Stoll (Andrea Savage) saved Liv (Rose McIver), Major (Robert Buckley), and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin). Incidentally, Vivian is now the owner of Max Rager, the company formerly owned by Vaughn Du Clark (Steven Weber). The season ended with a cliffhanger, with Vivian dangling what seems like a worthwhile offer to Liv.
Apparently, Vivian wants to make Seattle the zombie capital of the United States, and she has asked Liv to join her. Nevertheless, Liv declined to answer, and it remains to be seen what her decision will be when "iZombie" season 3 comes back on air.
Meanwhile, the upcoming season will see Liv donning a dominatrix's ensemble after consuming the brain of one. McIver has already teased her look in a social media post, and it will be worth anticipating what kind of fun she will have as she adapts the personality of a domme.
Moreover, while series creator Rob Thomas has teased that Liv's lovelife will be colorful in the upcoming season, there's a possibility that she and her ex-fiancé Major might still get back together especially now that Major is part of Team Z already. According to some reports, the two might finally realize that they are meant for each, thereby picking up where they left off. If that happens, wedding bells might not be far behind.
In related news, Entertainment Weekly reports that "Veronica Mars" alum Jason Dohring is the latest to join the cast of "iZombie's" third season. He will be appearing on the eighth episode of the season and will play the role of Chase Graves, Vivian's brother-in-law, and very much a part of the Fillmore Graves hierarchy. Since Vivian will most likely be season 3's main villain, it remains to be seen if her brother-in-law will follow suit.
