ISIS Video Shows Boy Apparently Executing Russian Spies Suspects
A chilling video purportedly showing a boy executing two alleged Russian spies has been released by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) militant group.
The boy, wearing a black sweater, is seen standing along with a man identified in the media as ISIS commander Abu Sa'ad al-Dāghistāni.
"Let not believers take disbelievers as allies rather than believers. And whoever (of you) does that has nothing with Allah except when taking precaution against them in prudence," the commander tells the boy.
He adds, "And Allah warns you of Himself, and to Allah is the (final) destination. Indeed, Allah has gifted the Islamic state's security agency with the apprehension of these two spies."
"By Allah's grace, they are now in the custody of the lion cubs of Khilafah," the commander says.
The commander then adds: "They have confessed that they work for the Russian Intelligence (FSB)."
The two alleged spies are seen kneeling with their hands tied together.
The commander then prods the boy to move forward and shoot the alleged spies, saying: "And we say to all those tempted by their inner selves to spy on the secrets of the Muslims and mujahidin that we will have no leniency or mercy towards them."
The boy then shoots the men in the back several times. However, the video did not show blood or any visible sign that the two were executed, raising the possibility that it was fake or staged.
After the alleged execution, the video footage goes to another scene where the boy is asked, "Who will you be in the future, insha'allah?"
The boy replied, "I will be the one who slaughters you, o kuffar (non-Muslim). I will be a mujahid, insha'allah (God willing)."
ISIS has been known to recruit children into its fold as fighters.
