There is no one quite as credible as Ming-Chi Kuo when it comes to reliability on tipping the most sought-after information about Apple products.

The noted KGI Securities analyst, whose revelations are awaited all the time, has accurately outed significant tidbits of the Cupertino-based products such as iPads and iPhones. Most recently, he has nailed the relevant specifications and release date of iconic iterations from iPhone 6S to iPhone SE and the previously unwrapped iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

And as Apple Inc. is imminently approaching its 10th-year anniversary of iPhone-making, all eyes are now focused on its next iteration. And who else could be relied upon when it comes to dishing what is forthcoming than Kuo himself?

A new research note from Kuo that was obtained by MacRumors has revealed that Apple is en route in launching three variants under the upcoming model. Kuo has shared, "We look for new 2017 iPhones to come in three models: one OLED model, and two TFT-LCD models with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch display. We believe the OLED and 5.5-inch TFT-LCD iPhones will feature [a] dual-camera."

Meanwhile, three analysts from Barclays have also shared this week that the organic light-emitting diode (OLED) model will be sporting a massive 5.8-inch display.

If it turns out to be true, Apple will be joining the ranks of Samsung and Google with their OLED offerings on Samsung Galaxy S7 and the previously unwrapped Google Pixel iterations.

On the other hand, Apple's potential use of OLED displays in its upcoming entries wouldn't be too surprising if it does happen as the company has already used such display on its wearable Apple Watch along with the newest Touch Bar on the just-unwrapped MacBook Pro last month.

The first-generation iPhone was released on June 29, 2007. iPhone 8 will mark the Cupertino-based firm's 10th year in making the iconic device that changed the smartphone industry for years.
