There is very limited information about the much-anticipated release of Apple's iPhone 7, although many are speculating that the next iteration of the highly successful smartphone flagship will be sporting a lot of new specs that are miles ahead of its predecessor, the iPhone 6S. The iPhone 7 is expected to revolutionize the users' experience of the usual iPhone design, and therefore, the Cupertino-based tech giant is rumored to change a few things for their latest offering.

One of the major changes expected in iPhone 7 is the omission of the traditional 3.5 mm headphone jack that will make the iPhone 7's design much thinner and classier. If the latest leaked iPhone 7 renderings are any indication, then Apple must have already made the move to scrap the 3.5 mm earphone jack altogether.

NWE reported a new iPhone 7 rendering that is now making rounds on the internet. These images reveal that Apple may have already removed the 3.5 mm headphone hack from the latest design of iPhone 7, thus giving confirmation to the long-standing rumors about the upcoming smartphone's appearance. Instead of the earphone jack, the iPhone will be featuring a secondary speaker in the area where the jack used to be in place. The dual speaker of iPhone 7 is also expected to produce stereo sound.

Aside from the headphone jack's disappearance and the new second stereo speaker that replaced it, the 3D CAD images also show a larger single camera design for the smaller 4.7-ich iPhone 7 while the larger 5.5-inch model will be having a capsule-shaped dual lens camera setup, the iDigital Times reported.

Meanwhile, it is also rumored that in spite of the sophisticated design of the new iPhone 7, Forbes reported that the price of the new smartphone might be $100 less expensive, thanks to the rumored plan of Apple to make the 32GB variant as the base model for iPhone 7.

It was first revealed by tech analyst Kevin Wang from IHS Technology on his Weibo account that Apple has already ordered the 32 GB iPhone 7 model to be the lowest base product. This will provide enough storage capacity for mainstream iPhone users. It also noted that Apple could sell the 32 GB model at the price of the 16 GB variant, thus supporting the latest rumor about the iPhone 7's lower price.

Regarding the release date of iPhone 7, it is rumored that the new smartphone units will not be released this year and instead will be launched in 2017. This is for the celebration of iPhone's tenth anniversary.
