iPhone 7 release date, specs news 2016: New leaked image shows dual camera lens, dual-SIM tray
The upcoming Apple iPhone 7 has been a favorite subject of several rumors and speculations all over the Internet. The latest report about the next generation iPhone involves a possible leak image coming from China.
A photo was reportedly leaked and posted on a Chinese social media site, Weibo, showing the handset's external features. Basing on the photo, it appears that Apple will not eliminate the 3.5 mm headphone jack. It was previously reported that Apple will no longer include the standard headphone jack on the next iPhone device. Apparently, the company has yet to discover a good replacement port for headphones. The leaked image also shows a dual-camera feature on the back of the device and a dual-SIM card tray.
The dual-SIM feature is quite interesting since it is something new for Apple's flagship smartphone. There are speculations suggesting that Apple may release another iPhone variant with the dual-SIM technology to be released in countries where the feature is very popular. According to some tech observers, it will not be surprising if the dual-SIM technology will not make it in the North American market.
Meanwhile, it has already been reported that the next iPhone will mirror its predecessor. The only thing difference is the camera positioning since the iPhone 7 will come with dual lens module. According to Gotta Be Mobile, the new device will run on Apple's A10 processor. The publication added that the new chipset will certainly increase the smartphone's performance up to 20 percent.
