iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus release date news 2016: EEU certification confirms 2 iPhone models on Sept. 7

Tech fans are getting excited for the upcoming release of Apple's next-generation iPhone. Previous rumors that have circulated hinted that the Cupertino-based company will launch two iPhone models on Sept 7: iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Now, Apple has recently received a Eurasian Economic Union or EEU certification suggesting that the rumors are true.
According to a report by Mirror, the two flagship smartphones from Apple will be the first devices to be shipped with preinstalled iOS 10. According to the publication, the two handsets will arrive in two color variations—Space Black and Metallic Blue. The overall design of the new iPhone 7 is quite similar to that of its predecessor, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. However, the new generation iPhone will no longer carry the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.
Although there were rumors saying that Apple will launch a new wireless headset for the new smartphone, new reports suggest that the company will introduce a new EarPods. The new Apple EarPods is said to be connected to the same lighting port for charging and data transfers.
Meanwhile, according to a report by TheBitBag, Apple will also launch several hardware products along with the new flagship smartphone. The publication said that Apple Watch 2 might get unveiled during the Sept. 7 event at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California. The event is said to start at 10:00 PM PDT.
Although Apple has yet to provide the official details of the new iPhone's specs and features, according to Yibada, the device will most likely run on the company's new A10 processor paired with 2 GM of RAM for the base iPhone 7 model and 3 GB of RAM for the iPhone 7 Plus. The higher end model is also expected to carry a 5.5-inch display, while the iPhone 7 will sport a much smaller screen at 4.7 inches.
