iPhone 6 vs HTC One (M8) Review: Specs, Price, Features Comparison - Battle Between Lookalikes

The iPhone 6 and the HTC One (M8) are very similar in the looks department, and they both have premium design elements which make choosing between them tough.

Starting with design, the iPhone 6 comes with rounded edges and glass and it has the premium metal unibody design that other Apple devices have. It is also very thin, measuring 6.9mm. The One (M8) also has premium metal build with rounded edges and smooth finish. However, it is 27 percent thicker than the iPhone 6 and it is also heavier.

As for their displays, the iPhone 6 Plus has a 4.7-inch LED-backlit IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels and a density of 326 pixels per inch. The One (M8) has a Super LCD3 screen measuring 5.0 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 441 pixels per inch.

Comparing specs, the iPhone 6 has an Apple A8 chipset, a dual-core 1.4 GHz Cyclone CPU and PowerVR GX6450 GPU with quad-core graphics, while the HTC One (M8) has a Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801chipset, a quad-core 2.3 GHz CPU in the US and EMEA and an Adreno 330 GPU. As for RAM the HTC One (M8) has 2 GB worth, while the iPhone 6 only has 1 GB.

In terms of external storage, the iPhone 6 does not come with a microSD slot while the HTC One (M8) has a slot which can be used to add external storage of up to 128 GB.

The HTC One (M8) has a 4 MP camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash while the iPhone 6 has an 8 megapixel camera with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED flash. As for their batteries, the iPhone 6 has an 1810 mAh version while the One (M8) has a 2600 mAh version.

Finally in terms of price, the 32GB One (M8) is priced at $99 with a two-year contract while the 16GB version of the iPhone 6 is priced at $199 with a two-year contract.
