iPad Pro 2 release date, specs rumors: Device rumored to be launched early 2017; iPad mini Pro in the works?

Rumors surrounding the next iPad Pro is currently abuzz in the online community, and there are speculations that the upcoming device will be larger in size and more powerful in terms of features.
According to Mac Otakara, the iPad Pro 2 will be sporting a desktop-class performance, giving it an edge over its flagship competitors. The often-reliable Apple blog notes that the company is replacing the latest 9.7-inch iPad Pro with a slightly bigger 10.1-inch model, and they are also considering an "iPad mini Pro" that sports a 7.9-inch screen.
The new iPad Pros will reportedly keep their 3.5mm headphone jacks, unlike the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. For those not on the loop, Apple made a bold change with it newest smartphones when the jacks on the two devices were removed to make room for a larger battery, Taptic Engine and to seal the unit for water-resistance.
Apple had always kept its 9.7-inch display for the iPad line since it debuted back in 2010. However, the iPad Pro 2 is about to break the pattern with its large display. Similar to the iPad mini Pro, the iPad Pro 2 is believed to have a microphone upgrade. With the larger screen, Apple will have more estate to possibly increase the resolution and give users a wider surface to work on. It remains to be seen, however, if Apple will ditch the 4:3 aspect ratio once the bigger iPad Pro 2 arrives.
Meanwhile, an A10X chip benchmark was recently leaked, leading to speculations that the new iPad Pro will be faster than an ordinary PC. Reports say that the powerful chip could render the iPad Pro 2 at least 80 percent faster than PC, similar to Apple's initial claim when the iPad Pro was launched. The battery capacity will also be increased, giving users a total of 10 hours of battery life.
The iPad Pro 2 is expected to hit the shelves sometime around early 2017.
