It appears Apple users with gadgets running with the current iOS 10.2 version could now try to jailbreak their phone if they wish to do so.

Chinese hacking group Pangu, one of the most notable jailbreak teams, has just unleashed today their much-awaited Pangu iOS 10.2 Jailbreak app, which is specially designed to work on both 32-bit and 64-bit iOS devices which are installed with an iOS 10.2 firmware.

For iPhone and iPad users whose devices run with an iOS 10.2 firmware, Pangu has provided basic instructions on how to activate their Jailbreak app. Any interested Apple user should first start the Safari web browser on their Apple devices and then open the website downloadpangu.org. The web page is said to be specifically designed to be used on Safari and to allow the download of the Pangu iOS 10.2 app.

Once the page has loaded, those who want to jailbreak their iPhones should go to the bottom of the screen and tap on the "UP" arrow icon. iPad users, on the other hand, will find the same icon somewhere on the top right corner of the screen. Then, they must tap on the "Add to Home Screen" button.

In the subsequent page, iPhone and iPad users with an iOS 10.2 firmware are instructed to name the app "Pangu" and then to tap on the "Add" option. The Pangu 10.2 app icon will then appear on the device's screen, which means the jailbreak app has been successfully added to the iOS device.

Previous reports suggested that Pangu would not be able to provide a jailbreak app for the iOS 10.2 firmware because the hacking team has remained silent since their last jailbreak projects for the iOS 9.2 to the iOS 9.3.3. However, Pangu's latest announcement will surely dispel such concerns.

However, even with the release of the latest iOS 10.2 Jailbreak app, Apple remains determined to outrun hackers by releasing a steady stream of updates to the iOS 10. In fact, with the recent release of the iOS 10.2.1, many Apple users are once again wondering if Pangu can work fast enough to design a new jailbreak program.

So far, the Pangu hacking team has made no guarantees that they'll be able to come up with a jailbreak program for the iOS 10.2.1 anytime soon.
