'Injustice 2' release date news 2016: Will Red Hood appear as a playable character in the 'Injustice' sequel?

"Injustice: Gods Among Us" creator Ed Boon has reportedly teased another set of characters that will be added to the upcoming video game "Injustice 2."
As reported by Breathe Cast, "Injustice 2" could potentially feature characters such as Darkseid, Poison Ivy, Firestorm, Starfire, Captain Cold, The Watchmen, Spawn, and Black Canary.
The creator of the upcoming "Injustice 2" is known for actively involving the gaming fans in the development process of the game. He would answer questions about character additions and even ask the fans themselves which DC characters and guest characters they would like to be included in the much-awaited sequel of "Gods Among Us."
More recently, gaming fan suggested on Twitter the possibility of including Ghost Rider as a guest character in "Injustice 2." Although neither confirming or denying if there are such plans to have a Marvel character to appear in the game, Boon was not so quick to dismiss the idea.
"That ain't a terrible idea," Boon responded to the Twitter user.
On Dec. 5, Boon once again took to Twitter to ask gaming fans which among the characters of Robin (Damien), Nightwing, and Red Hood would they like to see the most in "Injustice 2." Most of the respondents chose Red Hood with 57 percent of the total votes. Nightwing followed far behind at 25 percent, while Robin (Damien) only got 17 percent of the votes.
"So yea... I take it you guys wanna see Red Hood in Injustice Too?" Boon said on Twitter, reacting to the result of the survey.
However, without official confirmation, Boon's hints and teases about the game mentioned in his social media account should still be taken with a grain of salt. So far, characters that have been confirmed to appear in "Injustice 2" include Atrocitus, Blue Beetle, The Flash, Deadshot, and Harley Quinn.
Fans should expect "Injustice 2" to arrive for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in 2017. It will also be available on mobile phones with iOS and Android systems and is now available for pre-order.
