Last month, Apple officially launched its redesigned MacBook Pro, but a lot of Apple enthusiasts were still wondering about the next generation of the iMac. Some are guessing that Apple will be announcing it as some sort of "rival" to Microsoft's Surface series, but as of now, fans can only speculate on what to expect from the iMac 2017.

Rumors have suggested that the new iMac will be featuring the latest Kaby Lake processor. The chipset is said to push the device to a new level of competition. Aside from its energy-saving feature, the Kaby Lake processor will also be able to give the iMac a big improvement on its visuals and speed.

The iMac is also rumored to have the Touch Bar feature that will be coming with the newer Apple products down the line. The Touch Bar is an OLED panel on the top of the keyboard that will be replacing the location of the function keys. The buttons are said to change depending on the user's chosen task, and it is expected to make Apple devices more efficient and productive.

Others speculate that if the Touch Bar were to be a feature for the new iMac, this means that the user may have less menu-based tasks on the device, having all of the functions coming from the OLED bar.

As of now, all of the news coming out on the iMac is just speculation, so tech geeks should just wait till Apple announces its next ideas for the iMac.

Fans think that Apple may be focusing more on improving the iPhone 8 as next year will mark the 10th anniversary since the release of its flagship smartphone. Nevertheless, fans should expect that Apple has something big up their sleeves for future devices.

No official release date has been announced for the iMac 2017.
