Apple Inc. is expected to release the highly anticipated line of iMac 2017 in the second half of the year, rumors claim.

The next-generation iMac desktop computers were expected to be unveiled during the Cupertino-based tech giant's special event in October 2016, but the company kept silent about the speculated release of the rumored iMac product line.

However, a report from PC Advisor claims that there is a big chance to see the new version of iMacs after March 2017, based on the expected release date of the Kaby Lake processors as announced by Intel during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 event last week.

According to the report, the tech firm is only waiting for the release of the high-powered chipset in order to finish the development of the new iMac 2017 products. Since Intel has claimed that it will finally make the Kaby Lake processors after the first quarter of the year, it can be expected that the new line of iMacs will be launched after the month of March.

The report also cites the report from Best Buy, claiming that the rumored 27-inch version of iMac with 32 GB of built-in random-access memory (RAM) and 2 TB of Fusion Drive can be purchased for about $3,199.99. This will reportedly be more expensive compared with the current iMac model with the same specs since its entry-level model that came out in 2014 can be bought for around $1,760.58.

Other reports claim that the next edition of iMac desktops will have 5K Retina display. This reportedly caused the production delay of the product since the screen display is still being developed at the moment.

The device is also expected to feature AMD's Polaris 10 graphics chips upon release.

The American tech firm is expected to confirm the validity of the speculations about the release date of the iMac 2017 in the coming days.
