Ian Somerhalder & Nikki Reed latest news, updates: Divorce rumors untrue; Couple to start family soon?
Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are currently being slammed with divorce rumors, but the couple's relationship appears to be stronger than ever. Somerhalder even recently gushed about starting a family with Reed one day.
In an interview with Modern Luxury magazine, "The Vampire Diaries" star expressed his admiration for his wife and shared his thoughts on having a child with her someday. "The second we were around each other, and not [dating] other people, we just knew. Oh, I will one day have amazing children with my beautiful wife. Absolutely, definitely," he told the media outlet. "I live with someone who strives to find happiness and peace in the smallest things—whether it's sitting for five minutes under a tree or getting out into the country and spending time on our horses or even just going for a walk around the lake or riding a boat."
Rumors about Reed and Somerhalder's divorce resurfaced when it was announced that Nina Dobrev might be coming back for the final season of "The Vampire Diaries." Since she is Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend, various publications claim that the married couple's relationship is on the rocks because of Reed being jealous over her husband's former flame. Although the pair never addressed any of the claims, Somerhalder's most recent interview certainly shed light on the status of their relationship.
In fact, Somerhalder—who married Reed back in April 2015—couldn't be more infatuated with the "Twilight" actress. "I am so blessed that I did, indeed, find this human being that can deal with me and is also the most caring, compassionate person I've ever known," he continued.
Reed's latest acting gig on TV was when she played the role of Betsy Ross on Fox's "Sleepy Hollow." Aside from acting, she is also passionately working on various charities with her husband. Meanwhile, Somerhalder currently plays the role of Damon in "The Vampire Diaries" which is already on its eighth and final season. He will next be seen in the upcoming film "Time Framed" as Agent Truman Black.
