Huawei P10 release date, specs rumors: Benchmark listing reveals monstrous specs

The Huawei P10 will be a beast of a smartphone, if the latest leak is any indication of what the flagship will offer when it sees the light of day.
According to a benchmark listing spotted on GFXBench, the device will boast a Kirin 960 chipset, the next-generation processor from HiSilicon, which is owned by Huawei.
The chipset set to debut in the Huawei P10 will come with ARM's latest high-performance Cortex-A73 clocked at 2.4GHz in addition to four 1.8GHz low-power Cortex A53 cores.
According to Android Authority, the former will give the Huawei P10 the power to sustain peak performance for longer hours, which means it will be able to handle intensive gaming and other heavy tasks for a longer period of time than the Huawei P9 can handle.
Built on a 16-nanometer manufacturing process, the Kirin 960 will also house the latest Mali-G71 graphics processing unit (GPU), which offers an astounding 180 percent improvement compared to the last-gen Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
To make the Huawei P10 more formidable, it is also getting 6 GB of RAM, as per the benchmark listing. The native storage will be 256 GB, which is four times the Huawei P9 has and the highest amount to be included in a mobile device.
According to Pocket-Lint, such specifications should make for a greater longevity for the Huawei P10, which the current-generation iteration of the smartphone did not handle very well.
The Huawei P10 is also expected to come with a 5.5-inch display, which is much bigger than the P9's display. The resolution was also bumped up to Quad high-definition (HD), which should offer much greater visuals than the full HD display of the current flagship.
The camera department will be composed of a 12-megapixel primary shooter and an 8MP selfie snapper. There is no word on whether or not it the Huawei smartphone will keep its dual camera setup.
With regards to the release date, the Huawei P10 is expected to arrive by April next year.
