The aesthetic prowess of Huawei P9 back when it was launched earlier this year has sent a clear signal to all of its competition — the roster is gearing up to further the Guangdong-based power on image. Unveiled on April of 2016, the flagship iteration has boasted an incredible feature in the optics department. With its partnership with Leica Camera AG, the combination between the two was potent and game-changing.

Eight months after it was released, it now appears that Huawei Technologies is indeed circling in on the upcoming iteration's design, aesthetics, and this time around — with a big dose of added power. Sighted on GFXBench, Huawei P10's leaked benchmarks have revealed that the succeeding flagship will have the model number Huawei LON-L29.

In addition, it may sport the firm's proprietary Kirin 960 with a massive 6GB of random-access memory (RAM) and 256GB of internal storage. Huawei has previously stressed that the chipset is set to bring significant improvements to power consumption and the device's overall speed. Furthermore, the central processing unit (CPU) will benefit apps that are designed for augmented reality and virtual reality games which are bound to grow very soon.

Huawei P10 has also been shown to be sporting a 12-megapixel (MP) rear camera and an 8MP front-facing snapper. The benchmarks have not indicated whether the device will be equipped a dual-lens model, similar to its predecessor. On the other hand, the unit will be encased in a 5.5-inch with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, a considerable upgrade from P9's full high-definition (HD) display.

Huawei P10 is also set to run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat along with the company's EMUI skin. Meanwhile, the smartphone does not have a release date yet but it expected to be unveiled during the first or second quarter of 2017.
