Huawei Mate 9 Pro release date, specs rumors: Coming with dual curved screen, dual-lens camera

Huawei will be launching the Mate 9 soon but it won't be coming alone. As cited in earlier reports, it will have a big brother which is the Mate 9 Pro. Then codenamed Long Island, the device is said to be the more premium variant.
According to reports, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro is actually similar to the standard variant. However, instead of sporting a flat-screen design, the Mate 9 Pro will be having a dual curved display. It will still have the 5.9-inch screen size but its resolution will be higher.
From the full HD resolution, the Mate 9 Pro will carry 2,560 x 1,440 Quad HD resolution. The China-based company intended it this way so that it will be compatible with Google's Daydream virtual reality headset. As for the rest of the device's specs and features, reports detailed that it will be the same with the Huawei Mate 9.
It will have the same chipset under the hood which is the HiSilicon Kirin 960 paired with 4 GB of RAM and internal memory space starting at 64 GB and can go as much as 256 GB. The device will also be featuring dual sensor dual, dual-lens camera just like the one found in the Huawei P9. This also means that the Mate 9 devices will have a Leica-brand rear camera.
Moreover, Mate 9's big brother is said to be pre-installed with the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. In terms of the appearance, the Mate 9 Pro is said to have a resemblance with Samsung Edge's devices. It's also expected to have a full metal body just like the standard variant and may also come in various colors.
The Mate 9 is reported to have nine shade options which include champagne gold, mocha gold, silver, pink gold, shiny black, sky gray, amber gray, amber gold and ceramic white.
Huawei will release both the Mate 9 Pro and Mate 9 on Nov. 3 at a launch event in Munich, Germany.
