HTC One Mini vs Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Review: Comparison of Specs, Features

Although the HTC One Mini and Sony Xperia T2 Ultra are different in terms of size, their amazing specs -- which are nearly identical -- spell trouble for anyone choosing which is better than the other.

The HTC One Mini is inspired by the HTC One. It has a complete metal body and measures around 5.2 inches. On the other hand, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is truly a phablet measuring 6.50 inches.

Coming to the display of the phones, the HTC One Mini has a 4.3-inch screen that provides 720 x 1280 pixels, while the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra has a six-inch screen with 720 x 1280 pixels. Although the pixels are the same on both phones, the HTC One Mini has a better pixel density of 342 pixels per inch compared to that of Sony Xperia T2 Ultra which has 245 pixels per inch.

The HTC One Mini features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset and a Dual-core 1.4 GHz Krait 200 processor. The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra has a slightly better Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400 chipset and a Quad-core1.4 GHz Cortex-A7 processor.

Wwhen it comes to RAM, both phones have the same 1 GB version.

As for internal memory, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra has 8 GB and a microSD slot which allows for external memory of 32 GB. The HTC One Mini has 16 GB of internal memory and has no microSD slot.

The operating system of the HTC One Mini is the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, but it can be upgraded to 4.4.2 KitKat and even 5.0 Lollipop. The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra has a 4.3 Jelly Bean which can be upgraded to 4.4.2 KitKat.

Where the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra really outscores the HTC One Mini is in terms of it camera as it has a 13-megapixel camera at its rear and a 1.1-megapixel in front. The HTC One Mini only has a 4-megapixel camera at the rear but a slightly better 1.6-megapixel camera in front.
