HTC One M9 Release Date, Features Spoilers: Upcoming Phone to Have Dolby Surround Sound
A huge leak about the upcoming HTC One M9 just hit the Internet, revealing that the upcoming HTC flagship smartphone will have Dolby Surround Sound and many more cutting-edge features.
The leak revealed almost all the details about the smartphone.
The leak originated via the Twitter account of @Upleaks. The user associated with the account posted three upcoming promo videos for the smartphone, which will be unveiled on March 1 in Barcelona.
One major rumor that the promo videos showed was that the device will have a much improved rear camera with a resolution of 20 megapixels. As for its front shooter, the company opted to include an UltraPixel camera which could likely be a 4 megapixel version that will ensure low-light selfies turn out crisp and clear.
The promo videos also revealed a major improvement in the BoomSound speakers of the device which will now be able to pump out Dolby Surround Sound-quality music. As for the design of the phone, it will look very much like its predecessor, the HTC One (M8). The metallic body on the device will come with a dual tone finish in silver and gold. If this is true, then the HTC One M9 could turn out to be one of the most beautiful devices in the market.
As for the software on the phone, the videos showed how the home screen would display apps based on the user's location. Users will also get advanced personalization options on the device and will be able to create a theme from within an image. Added to this is a brand-new photo editor that will allow users to quickly add double exposure effects on their photos. It will also allow them to swipe with three fingers in sharing the photos.
One grey area in the HTC One M9 is its processor. Many industry insiders have been speculating on whether the phone will carry the Snapdragon 810. The released promo videos provided no information on this.
