The Xperia Z3 has all the makings of a Sony flagship phone but it still gets a good amount of competition from similar sized budget smartphones like the HTC Desire 826.
Design
There is no doubt that Sony wanted the Xperia Z3 to appear premium by enclosing it in a metal frame with glass covering its front and back panel. It also has nylon covering its edges to reduce the damage resulting from accidental drops. It is likewise IP68-certified, which means it is resistant to dust and can be placed at a depth of up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes without causing any damage. As for the Desire 826, it has a fairly unremarkable plastic body with a glossy finish on its back panel. However, one version of the smartphone comes with matte grey finish.
