HTC Desire 826 vs LG G3 Specs, Price Comparison: Features Review - HTC Budget Phone Faces Stiff Fight With LG Competitor

The Desire 826 is the latest budget smartphone from HTC. Soon after it was launched during the recent CES 2015, it became clear that the device has a fight on its hands especially when compared to the LG G3.
Design
The Desire 826 has a plastic frame and back panel but coated with a glossy finish. On its edges is a rubber-like finish which prevents the device from slipping from one's hand. As for the LG G3, it also has a plastic body but with curved edges. In an apparent attempt to disguise the plastic in its body, it has a brushed metal finish giving it a premium look.
Display
The Desire 826 has a super LCD3 screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 401pixels per inch. As for the LG G3, it has a IPS + LCD screen measuring 5.5 inches with a true HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 538 pixels per inch.
Platform
The Desire 826 comes with the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop operating system while the LG G3 has the 4.4.2 KitKat which can be upgraded to 5.0 Lollipop. Regarding their specs, the LG G3 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, coupled with a quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU and Adreno 330 GPU, while the Desire 826 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, coupled with a quad-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 405 GPU.
Memory
Both the Desire 826 and the LG G3 have memory slots which can be used to add up to 128 GB of external storage. In terms of RAM, the Desire 826 has 2 GB, while the LG G3 has 3 GB.
Camera
Both the rear camera on the LG G3 and the Desire 826 are 13 megapixel versions.
Price
The full retail price of the Desire 826 could be between $480-500 when it is finally released. As for the LG G3, its full retail price is $478 but could be had for $149 with a two-year contr
