In an interview with TV Line, Ricamora expressed how happy he is to know that Oliver has become so popular among the fans, but also noted of some fans who just couldn't handle the possibility of him leaving the show.
"There was a real outpouring of love and concern for Oliver, and a fear that he might killed off... but a lot of it was done in a very over-the-top way," Ricamora said.
"One person threatened to fight Pete (Nowalk, HTGAWM showrunner). Someone else said they were going to throw their TV out the window if my character died. There were a lot of memes too, even ones with Beyonce," he added.
