'How to Get Away With Murder' Season 3 news, rumors: Showrunner spills details on Wallace's shooter

The Season 2 season finale of the hit ABC drama thriller "How To Get Away With Murder" has left a lot of fans all over the world on the edge of their seats, with a lot of questions left unanswered and a whole bunch of shocking revelations. The much-anticipated third season of the Emmy Award-winning TV series is returning to primetime television later this year, but the long wait for the fans will lead to more speculations and rumors buzzing around the internet. To pacify the heavy thoughts of the viewers, "How to Get Away With Murder" executive producer Pete Nowalk had a talk with Variety to clear a few things up, specifically about Frank (played by Charlie Weber) and his future in the show.

Nowalk remained careful in spilling some details about Frank's character and if ever his character will be back next season. However, he teased that if ever Frank returns, he will be carrying a huge load of hatred towards Bonnie (played by Liza Weil) due to the latter's betrayal. It would cause quite a stir in the Season 3 premiere if ever Frank confronted Bonnie about her misdeeds.

The "HTGAWM" showrunner also teased some information about what to expect in the Season 3 premiere. The second season saw Wallace Mahoney (played by Adam Arkin) being shot by an unseen character, and in the next season, Nowalk confirmed that the viewers will surely know who shot him. Initial rumors point to Frank as the culprit because he thinking of ways to regain the trust of Annalise (played by Viola Davis). It is known that Wallace acted as an obstacle in Annalise's life, and Frank, who was the reason of the death of Annalise's baby, could have thought that killing Wallace can change Annalise's hatred towards him.

It is still unconfirmed if Frank will return for Season 3, and his whereabout is still unknown as noted in a report from Christian Daily. It is not known whether Frank will be able to forgive Bonnie for telling Annalise the truth about the latter's miscarriage due to his fault. The loyalty of Bonnie, however, is speculated to have wavered and the third season might see if she will remain loyal to Annalise.
