'House of Cards' Season 5 spoilers, plot rumors: President Frank Underwood's life in danger?

The fourth season of the hit Netflix original series "House of Cards" has recently concluded with the story seeming to go to a completely different direction after the shocking last episode. With the current events in the show, President Frank Underwood (played by Kevin Spacey) and the first lady Claire Underwood (played by Robin Wright) have ended up on opposite sides and could only act as husband and wife who care for each other in front of the people. They would need the people to think that they are the loving and honorable personalities that they may not actually be for the coming Election Day, and while they go through the usual political charades, one of the couple might just be cooking up a heinous plan against the other.
According to Movie News Guide, the present rumors making rounds on the internet speak that Claire is planning to kill his own husband Frank to eliminate those who are standing in her way and get her political machinations started.
A report from Independent confirms the thought that "House of Cards" will go a different route after Season 4, which was released on Netflix on March 4 with all 13 episodes available to binge-watch by the fans. Season 4 contained many twists and turns with some unexpected happenings (and even death) that no one would actually expect before streaming each episode.
There is also a rumor that "House of Cards" Season 5 will be the last season. According to the Yibada website, the rumor started when series creator Beau Willimon left the show after being the showrunner for the first 4 seasons. It was also announced by Spacey, who is also an executive producer of "House of Cards," that Willimon will be replaced by Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese and will serve as the new showrunners of Season 5.
Wright, aside from acting as the U.S. first lady on screen, is also reported to direct several episodes of "House of Cards" Season 5.
