'House of Cards' Season 5 spoilers, plot news: Is Claire plotting Frank's murder to become president?

The fifth season of Netflix's political drama thriller "House of Cards" is coming in a few more months, but there are already reports regarding the possible plot of the new chapter as early as now. According to the rumors, "House of Cards" Season 5 will now be heading towards a different direction as a main character seen as the "biggest supporter" in the previous seasons will transform into a wretched rival hell bent on achieving the highest seat of power in the United States.
If the rumors are correct, First Lady Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) may be up for something terrible with regards to dealing with her own husband, the incumbent US President Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey). According to the news website Yibada, Claire is willing to do anything to become the most powerful person in the country, even if her quest requires to murder her own husband.
Claire started to change in Season 4 where she was seen for the first time aspiring to become more powerful and influential, and she could not fulfill her dream by being a mere first lady who guides her husband in every issue that he is facing. Her true colors were revealed as she decided to run for vice president alongside her husband who is hoping to extend the duration of his presidency. If ever she is elected the vice president, she will only be a step away from taking full control, and the only way for her to become the president is to eradicate the person seated in power.
Also, Claire seemed to bear more anguish than concern for Frank in the previous season, where she became the reason of Frank's quandaries most of the time. Fortunately for the president, he was able to come out of his sorry state. For the first time in the series, Claire became her husband's detractor rather than a supporter, and the fifth season of the show is expected to start off with a new trajectory, the Independent UK reported.
