With Season 5 on its way, there is another rumor that Nathan Darrow's Edward Meechum will be seen once again in the new season, although his return may be in the form of flashbacks or dream sequences.

It can be recalled that President Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey, survived an assassination plot but at the expense of Meechum's life, who was working as Underwood's secret service agent, and it would be impossible for Meechum to return in the flesh. Although in death, there could be a way for dead characters on the show to make an appearance as Season 4 also featured the comeback of Zoe Barnes and Peter Russo, both killed by Underwood before being elected as president. It was in Underwood's hallucination where the two were shown attacking the president and even sexually assaulting him.

It was also reported that the "House of Cards" long-time showrunner and creator Beau Willimon is not going to be involved in the next episodes, and a pair from the show will take his place according to Variety—Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese.

Gibson and Pugleise became part of the "House of Cards" creative team during the show's third season. The two are looking forward to continuing the effective storytelling of President Underwood's campaign in White House, as many are hoping that they will sail the boat smoothly even with Willimon's departure.

"We and the rest of the 'House of Cards' writers look forward to the next chapter of the reign of Underwood," said Gibson and Pugliese said.
