Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton renewed rumors of a 2016 presidential run during her weekend visit to Iowa, where the democratic politician told the audience that she does think about the 2016 election as a possibility.

Clinton spoke to a crowd gathered at the 37th Annual Harkin Steak Fry in Indianola, Iowa this past Sunday, the first time she has spoken in Iowa since losing the state's caucus in 2008. The former First Lady told the audience gathered at the event that she has entertained the idea of running in the 2016 campaign, although she was clear in stating that her purpose at that weekend's steak fry was to support local candidates ahead of the upcoming elections.

"It is true, I am thinking about it," Clinton said of a potential presidential run before receiving applause. "But for today, that is not why I am here. I am here first and foremost for Tom [Harkin], for Ruth [his wife] and for the great candidates that you have a chance to elect." According to CNN, some in the audience yelled at Clinton "Just do it!"

At Sunday's event, Clinton was joined by her husband and former president Bill Clinton, who was seen applauding for his wife on the podium as she spoke. According to MSNBC, more than 7,000 democratic supporters showed up Sunday to support local candidates, and organizers of the 37th annual and last Harkin Steak Fry say the total turnout was over 2,000 more than what had been expected.

Iowa Senator Tom Harkin had his share of kind words to say for the Clinton family, saying the couple is "a part of our Iowa Democratic family" and referring to them as the "comeback couple."
