Hillary Clinton Pledges Gun Control Plan Following Oregon School Shooting

2016 presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton has debuted a strict gun control plan in light of the recent mass shooting in Oregon that left nine dead.
Clinton, who is seeking the democratic nomination for president, unveiled her plans during two recent speaking engagements in New Hampshire. The plan asserts that Clinton would reportedly use her executive powers if Congress could not agree on creating stricter gun control laws.
As The Huffington Post reports, Clinton's plan proposes that unlicensed gun sellers would be required to carry out background checks on firearm purchasers.
As the media outlet reports, Clinton's plan would seek to pass legislation that would mean "attempting to sell a significant number of guns be deemed 'in the business of selling firearms,'" thus "[ensuring] that high-volume gun sellers are covered by the same common sense rules that apply to gun stores -- including requiring background checks on gun sales."
According to CNN, the Clinton aide added that although the former Secretary of State would be willing to work with Congress toward revising current gun laws, she "will take administrative action" to move gun control laws forward.
Speaking at a recent event in Florida, the former First Lady said "What is wrong with us that we can't stand up to the NRA and the gun lobby and the gun manufacturers."
"This is not just tragic. We don't just need to pray for people, we need to act. We need to build a movement," Clinton added.
