"High School Musical 4" is expected to give fans an update on Troy (Zac Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens) after graduation, but it may not be as huge as many think.

When the film was announced, it was revealed that it will focus on a new group of East High Wildcats and even give their rivals West High Knights a much larger involvement in the story.

There was no mention of the original cast returning to "High School Musical 4" even just for a cameo, but Ashley Tisdale has already said that she will not reprise her role as Sharpay Evans.

Efron and Hudgens are rumored to appear in the film to at least reveal what they have been up to after they went separate ways and studied in different universities.

"High School Musical 4" is even rumored to stage a wedding between the two. However, this could be a bit unlikely and will take away from the new characters that the show will focus on.

The best case scenario of a Troyella update in "High School Musical 4" might simply be a casual reference or a nod to the couple with a full-on appearance a bit far-fetched.

The film could also highlight the important spots and locations that played a role in their love story and their friendship with Chad (Corbin Blue), Taylor (Monique Coleman), Sharpay and Ryan (Lucas Grabeel), among others.

"High School Musical 4" will likely introduce characters that are connected to the originals. In fact, one of the members of the new core group will be Ryan and Sharpay's cousin.

Tagged as Troy Bolton 2.0, this "High School Musical 4" lead is named Campbell, a soccer player
and a theater nerd. He falls for Erin, "a badass soccer player who strives for excellence."

Campbell finds a competition for Erin's heart in a jock and bad boy dancer named Derek, who is "tough on the surface but a soft-hearted family guy at his core."

The other two "High School Musical 4" leads include Nathalie, a cheerleader and East High's biggest fan, and Tamara, a fallen queen bee.
