'Hawaii Five-0' season 7 air date, spoilers news: Detectives face vigilante in premiere episode

The seventh season of "Hawaii Five-0" is about to return to the small screen. Although Steve McGarret was badly injured in the preceding season, the stubborn detective will not stay out of all the action.
The first episode of the seventh season will reportedly be titled "Makaukau 'oe e Pa'ani?" which translates to "Ready to Play?" The synopsis of the episode revealed that Five-0 will be investigating the deaths of two serial killers. Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) and the team will be looking out for a vigilante who leaves chess pieces in the mouths of the victims.
To recap, McGarrett sustained serious injuries in the previous season. He had his liver severely damaged, which led to a liver transplant. Though McGarrett will want to chase the vigilante, his partner Danny will be forcing him to rest and recuperate.
In the said episode, Rosalind Chao will make a guest appearance. The actress will portray Gov. Keiko Mahoe.
As for the 150<sup>th episode of the show, showrunner Peter Lenkov revealed, "It is really a mythology episode... It will tie up some loose ends and give a new storyline in the episode that follows."
Sources reported that the episode is titled "Ka makuahine a me ke keikikane," which translates to "Mother and Son."
Christine Lahti who portrays McGarrett's mother is expected to reprise her role in the 150<sup>th episode. Her reappearance will answer the unaddressed mysteries in the show.
Fans can expect the main cast — Alex O'Loughlin as Steve McGarrett, Scott Caan as Danny Williams, Daniel Dae Kim as Chin Ho Kelly, Grace Park as Kono Kalakaua, Masi Oka as Dr. Max Bergman, Chi McBride as Lou Grover, and Jorge Garcia as Jerry Ortega — to return in the seventh season of the show.
"Hawaii Five-0" will return on CBS this Friday, Sept. 23, at 9 p.m. EDT.
