Hannah Graham's Parents Release Statement One Month After Daughter's Disappearance

One month after the disappearance of University of Virginia student Hannah Graham, the girls' parents have come forward to plead with the public, asking that anyone who knows information regarding Graham's disappearance come to the police.
"It is heart-breaking for us that the person or persons who know where Hannah is have not come forward with that information," John and Sue Graham said in the statement. "It is within their power both to end this nightmare for all, and to relieve the searchers of their arduous task."
"Please, please, please help us to bring Hannah home," the statement added. Recent photos of the parents show them wearing pins with Graham's face on them, as well as orange ribbons to symbolize Graham's favorite color.
Graham, 18-years-old, disappeared in the early hours of September 13 after allegedly getting lost while trying to find a friend's party. Surveillance video around the University of Virginia shows Graham with Jesse Matthew, a 32-year-old former taxi cab driver who lives in the area.
On September 24, Matthew was arrested and charged with abduction and intent to defile Graham, but no sign of the 18-year-old student's whereabouts has been revealed.
Search coordinator Mark Eggeman of the Virginia Department of Emergency Management told NBC News that volunteer search teams have successfully scanned 95 percent of the 8 mile radius that surrounds the area where Graham went missing. Eggeman says search teams will now concentrate their searches on areas that are highlighted through the city's tip line.
