'Halo 5: Guardians' DLC release date: 'Anvil's Legacy' REQ system, 'Forge' tools for PC revealed

As previously reported, the forthcoming "Halo 5: Guardians" downloadable content (DLC) entitled "Anvil's Legacy" will feature a new requisition system (REQ) that players can take advantage of to effectively destroy the opposition. The REQ lineup for the DLC will consist of new armor, weapons and more.
The DLC will introduce new maps, two of which are Mercy (Arena) and Temple (Warzone). The REQ system is a point system which will take effect on Arena and Warzone matches. Once players gather enough points, players will have the opportunity to purchase REQ packs which comprise of weapons, armor, vehicles and other items crucial for defeating opponents.
A few of the weapons the game will feature are the ultra-rare Gunfighter Magnum, the Landgrave BR and the Landgrave Magnum. According to video game developer 343 Industries, the fans' favorite sets of armor and weapons will have new skin sets in the upcoming DLC.
The Forge tool for "Halo 5: Guardians" will be available for Windows 10 on Thursday, Sept. 8. "Anvil's Legacy" will launch on Xbox One consoles on the same day. The video game developer revealed that "Halo 5: Forge" will have great features, including mouse and keyboard support, 4k resolution display capability and a brand new content browser.
Perhaps the most exciting feature is the content browser, which gamers can use to review and share creations online.
The browser will also be able to support maps and game mode. More importantly, gamers can discover new Forge Object Groups, a feature that will let players "save pre-fabricated object groups such as buildings, bases, and much more." With this browser, players can share Forge creations across Windows 10 and Xbox One consoles.
"Anvil's Legacy" and the "Halo 5" Forge tool will launch on Thursday, Sept. 8. The new Halo app will also launch on the same day. The app will contain news, videos and tutorials for the "Halo" franchise.
