'GTA 6' release date and plot rumors: New installment to be set in Tokyo?

Good news for the "GTA" series fanatics. According to reports, the development of the upcoming "GTA 6" is almost done as Rockstar Games is said to have already completed the map building of the upcoming title.

According to Value Walk, the completion of the map building brings positive development to millions of "GTA" fans around the world. If rumors prove to be true, fans can finally get a hold of the fifth sequel of the critically acclaimed video game franchise.

Nonetheless, these pieces of information have yet to be revealed by the game developer but players are pretty confident that the company will soon announce the coming of the new installment.

Meanwhile, Tech Radar reported that Rockstar Games may have gone into a different direction in the development of the rumored sequel. According to the publication, "GTA 6" will be set in Tokyo, Japan. It is said that the company has been planning to create a "GTA" Japan-based game.

It appears that when Rockstar Games traveled to Japan at the height of the popularity of "GTA 3" and "Vice City," the company made Tokyo as their inspiration to create a game based on the highly urbanized city.

Although there is no confirmation from the company regarding the said plan, many fans believe that Japan is a perfect setting for a "GTA" title.

In contrast to that report, n4bb suggested that the gaming company actually has other plans in mind as rumors emerged about Grand Theft Auto: Bogota and Grand Theft Auto: Sin City.
