'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 spoilers: Doctors take a trip down to memory lane in episode 8, Caterina Scorsone explains Amelia and Alex's new dynamic

History repeats itself in the upcoming episode of ABC's long-running medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" season 13.
Titled "The Room Where It Happens," next week's episode will take viewers a trip down to memory lane. According to the official synopsis for episode 8, one difficult surgery will bring back important memories for Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Richard (James Pickens, Jr.), Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton). While working together to save a patient's life, the doctors remember special moments in their past that led them to where they are now.
The winter finale of "Grey's Anatomy" is fast-approaching, and it will certainly be a while before the show returns to the airwaves for a new set of episodes. Alex's trial will happen soon, and it might begin to divide the hospital. Although the result of the trial remains to be seen, Alex will surely have two of his friends by his side as he braves one of the toughest moments of his life.
Actress Caterina Scorsone recently caught up with Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room segment, and she revealed that Amelia is beginning to feel really safe with Alex in an unexpected way. She also mentioned that she didn't think that Amelia was going to talk to him about her traumatic past, but now she sees him as a potential safe place instead of her own husband. With Alex's trial coming up, she will certainly support him because of the closer and deeper bond they now have.
"I don't know how the hospital will be divided," the actress continued, "but I imagine Amelia has some pretty affectionate feelings toward Alex right now that he was able to witness her in her darkest moments and in this unique way."
