Pediatric surgeon Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) might be going to jail in the 13th season of ABC Network's medical drama TV show "Grey's Anatomy." The recently released 15-second trailer warned its loyal audience that "loyalties will be tested" next season.

Hence, reports have been pointing out the possibility of Karev going to jail. The premiere episode titled "Undo" seems to represent the doctor's sentiments.

In the previous season, Karev was seen beating up Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) after he thought the surgical intern was hooking up with his girlfriend Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington). DeLuca was rushed to the hospital, fighting for his life, while the rest of the surgeons were trying to figure out the identity of his assailant.

According to ABC, Miranda Bailey will spearhead the investigation, and the rest of the surgeons will be willing to help. Meredith will find out about what Karev did and will confront him about it.

In the trailer, Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) can be heard saying, "You think no one's gonna realize this was you?" Grey warned her friend.

"You gonna turn me over?" Karev replied, raising his bruised knuckles to his head.

"You could go to jail," Grey replied before the trailer reached its end.

On the other hand, Karev's girlfriend Jo was nowhere to be seen in the brief trailer. Like Karev's career, his relationship with Jo might be going on a downward spiral because the two might break up next season. The latter has a few secrets she hasn't spilled. And with the recent turn of events, things aren't looking great for the couple.

Furthermore, some reports are suggesting that Andrew could be killed off next season. If that is to happen, Alex could be convicted for murder.

"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will return on ABC on Thursday, Sept 22, at 8 p.m. EDT.
