Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) is about to lose his position as the director of the residency program and he will be as clueless as everyone else come "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 8, "The Room Where It Happens."

Eliza Minnick (Marika Dominczyk), the individual who lent her expertise to improve the residency program in the hospital, put Bailey (Chandra Wilson) in a tough spot when she told her that she should be the authority if they want her to stay.

Minnick simply meant that she will not be sharing the position as director of the residency program to its current holder, Webber, who will show in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 8, that he got used to being the higher-up.

In this episode, Webber will be in the operating room with Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) on a man who got into an accident.

During the surgery, the doctors begin to bicker about what to do next, but Meredith is not one to forget the hierarchy in the hospital as she reminds them who's boss in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 8.

The promo for the episode teases that Webber talking Meredith into thinking about the options for the patient, which resulted to the latter sternly reminding him that she outranks her.

This shocks and shuts Webber up. Clearly, his hold of the residency program is in limbo. However, it looks like he will be the one to figure it out himself.

The synopsis for "Grey's Anatomy" season 13 episode 8, "You Haven't Done Nothin'" teases that Webber will notice that Eliza is still around and will decide to "demand answers from Bailey."

Seeing that episode 8 is the winter finale of the series, fans can expect Webber's career to drastically change as Bailey will be forced to make a decision.
