'Grey's Anatomy' season 13 episode 11 spoilers: Alex goes missing; Webber, Eliza struggle for power over the hospital
No one has heard from Alex (Justin Chambers) since the day he told Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Bailey (Chandra Wilson) that he's going to take a plea bargain from the judge. Meanwhile, Dr. Eliza Minnick (Marika Dominczyk) will have a tough first day in Grey Sloan.
Previously in "Grey's Anatomy" season 13, Alex decided to take the plea bargain from the judge to keep Jo (Camilla Luddington) safe from being found by her husband, and no one has heard from him since.
In the episode promo for episode 11, titled "Jukebox Hero," Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Jo will soon get worried after not being able to contact Alex.
The synopsis reads: "Richard and the attendings set out to make Eliza's first day at Grey Sloan a bumpy one. Meanwhile, Meredith tries to track down Alex."
Meanwhile, episode 11 will also see Dr. Minnick's first day in Grey Sloan, and it won't go as smooth as she thought it will be. Dr. Webber will do everything in his power to not let Eliza reign on the hospital, including getting the attending doctors involved in trying to alienate the newcomer.
Even Arizona, who had sparks with Eliza in a previous episode before the winter break, will not back down.
"You're not welcome on my case," Arizona tells Eliza. But Eliza snaps back with a response that's meant to put Dr. Robins in her place.
The upcoming episode might also shed light to where Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) has gone to after leaving her husband, Owen (Kevin McKidd), with nothing but a note.
There are speculations that Owen will want to divorce Amelia if she's not willing to have kids. Owen had experienced the same issue with his estranged wife, Cristina (Sandra Oh), and he might not be willing to put himself under the same circumstances again.
"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
