'Grey's Anatomy' season 12 episode 22 spoilers, plot news: Court finally decides on who gets sole custody of Sofia
Long-running medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" will have it's season 12 finale on May 19, and it seems like the show will end with a bang. However, before the series comes to a close, there are still loose ends that need to be tied up.
According to spoilers, Callie (Sara Ramirez) and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) face the biggest challenge in their lives yet as the court's decision on who gets the sole custody of their daughter Sofia (Eva Ariel Binder) will be revealed. The court hearing will bring a major shake-up in the broken family's members as everyone anticipates the judge's decision. Arizona and Callie will each have their chance to present their arguments, doing their best to have the judge take their side. Their colleagues are present in the court too, as they witness the drama involving two of their close friends unfold.
As previously reported, Sara Ramirez who plays the role of Callie will be exiting the show right after season 12. After finishing all her scenes, she expressed her gratitude to the show and her supporters via Twitter stating: "That's a wrap for Doctor #CallieTorres #Season13 #GreysAnatomy #ThankYou all for an enriching & unforgettable #Rollercoaster ride! â¤ï¸" It remains unclear, however, if her departure will influence the court ruling in the show.
Ellen Pompeo previously hinted that in the episode "Mama Tried," Arizona who is played by Jessica Capshaw will do something which fans will not expect. "What @JessicaCapshaw won't tell you is how she intends to rip your hearts out in episode 1222....that's all I'm going to say," her Twitter post reads.
Meanwhile, the official synopsis for this week's episode 22 reads:
"Callie and Arizona are at odds over Sofia's future, and Stephanie questions the status of her relationship with Kyle. Meanwhile, Alex and April work on a pregnant teen that is readmitted to Grey Sloan Memorial."
